If your local ALS charities aren't capitalizing on 4 ALS with media plans, visibility at ballparks (major league, minor league, little league, any league), and some major local buzz, now is the time to let them know that we can't afford to miss this huge advocacy opportunity.
PALS Michael Goldsmith threw out the big first pitch, but it's up to us all to knock the awareness ball out of the ballpark!
This is a refreshing, new concept for ALS -- national awareness with all of the major ALS charities joining voices with MLB to make a lot of noise. We need to make sure that our local ALS organizations get it. They snooze and we all lose.
As soon as this awesome news hit- ALS-TDI was ready and launched their grassroots event where everyone can help. It's as easy as hosting a BBQ and can be done on any level- from your own backyard, a block party or something BIG. It's a huge opportunity for press releases in every community and I hope to see people getting involved. Check it out!

wtg, ALS-TDI! This is too big of an opportunity to miss.
ReplyDeleteMy hope would be, that everyone pass the link to als.net to everyone they know. I am sure, there are friends and family of PALS who would love to help but don't know HOW or what to do. This is an easy way to get involved and TDI will give you a banner, balloons and info. to help.
ReplyDeleteIt's a no-brainer, kind of and it is finally an opportunity for NATIONAL Awareness- the very thing everyone has been asking for. I am waiting for more cowbell from the PALS!!
