ALS ADVOCACY

ALS ADVOCACY
Lou Gehrig's Disease - Motor Neuron Disease - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Thought it had been cured by now? Still no known cause. Still no cure. Still quickly fatal. Still outrageous.

Has CBS Found A Way To Get Us To Watch Their Evening News Every Night?

Toward the end of this evening's CBS news with Katie Couric, they ran the teaser again on their ALS story that said it will run tomorrow. "New treatments for Lou Gehrig's Disease may be as close as the surface of your skin."

Tomorrow... you're always a day away...

They're finishing up the news right now as I type. The final story is on Michael Jackson's patented shoes. They had time for that story but not ALS. Go figure.

  1. Iam angered at the way CBS is treating this story. I think that all who care should get in touch with CBS in New York and blast them and Katie Couric for the way this story is being handled. The promos and teasers are fraudulent at best.

  3. Hear, Hear! CBS: YOu are ugly and your mother dresses you funny. If you had ever lost a loved one to this most terrible of diseases you would not have played so fast and loose with all your promos on ALS research and then cut it for endless trivia on Michael Jackson's funeral plans. SHAME.

  4. At least maybe it will get more attention if it runs on a slower news night... but I can't imagine anything being slower news than MJ's shoes;-)

  6. Do you happen to have an email address where we could send a complaint to CBS?

  7. I'm first anonymous. The address is evening@cbsnews.com I sent them an e-mail last night and by golly, I got a reply this morning saying that "due to unforeseen circumstances", but that the story would air tonight (which it did.) I think they were very irresponsible with their promos, but at least, they ran it. Now, there's supposed to be supplemental information on their web but I'll be darned if I can find it.
